Significance and Uses
Assay Designs' Direct cyclic AMP (cAMP) kit is designed for use with cell culture and tissue. The kit includes 0.1M HCl which is used to lyse the cells, stop endogenous phosphodiesterase activity and stabilize the released cyclic AMP. The 0.1M HCl treated samples are then analyzed directly in the microtiter plate without extraction, drying or reconstitution. If analysis is to be performed on samples in buffer or with samples that have been extracted and dried down, please refer to Assay Designs' Regular cyclic AMP kit.
