This antibody detects a doublet at ~105 kDa, corresponding to the apparent molecular masses of Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP) isoforms on SDS-PAGE immunoblots. An additional band of 35 kDa, corresponding to the expected molecular mass of the C99 fragment (which is generated by beta-secretase cleavage of APP) is also detected on SDS-PAGE immunoblots.
